Dallas nodded to Janase, and then the team moved into the hospital, being guided by Commander Ky'jhan's men towards the holding area.
Team C
Draco nodded, and the team moved on, following the indicators made by the markings revealed with the ultraviolet light.

Team A
Ereba gave Janase a quick nod and followed her inside, walking like she owned the place or at least could buy the entire place with a few taps on her omni-tool.
Team C
Darya wrinkled her nose at the stench in the sewer and followed Ahnjan. She tried to avoid the fetid matter that occasionally floated by.
Team B
After they got by and down the corridor, flashed a grin. "Did you like that, Keith? Get's 'em every time. The burning question is do I really have scars? The answer is yes. See, there was this time back when I was a kid and was helping my dad work on the tractor on our farm in the colony, and this giant mantis decided I'd make a good meal and snatched me. My dad grabbed the shotgun and blew its head off, but the arms really left a mark."

Irina let her eyes wander around the old base while she reminisced. She took a deep breath in through her nose and shook her head. "You know, Jenus. The air just doesn't smell quite like I remember. We ought to check out things in town. Unless you us to head over to the old squad and show off our badassness. I wonder if Lt. Nyrrin is still there? We can show 'em pictures. Well, maybe not since most of the shit is classified."

BrrrAAPP!!
"Woo!!!!"
It was hard not to imagine Blossom's crazed stare beneath her helm. She had fired her assault rifle, full burst, dumping the whole clip. Anika had wanted to train Blossom and so had set up a firing practice in a remove part of the desert where they'd taken a break from the Tomkah patrol and stepped out into the desert.
Blossom loaded another clip and said to Anika, "Let's go again!"

Jess had noted that Reine stepped away momentarily to receive a com from Rea. It was live. Reine took it one cabin over, but both Jocelyne and Jess could overhear if they listened closely. There was a brief exchange of somewhat formal greetings, and then Rea spoke.
"It's time, Reine. I've accomplished my mission with you and then some. I'm going to report back that I think you're monitored in good hands and that I have no concerns. I believe you've somehow come out of this intact, and, I have to say, I had my doubts considering what happened to you."
"I understand," Reine answered. "I....well...thank you."
"You can contact me if you need me, you know. But I wouldn't leave if I didn't think you weren't in good hands with Jess and Anika."
"They've been life savers. Literally, in my case. I'll miss your presence. Where are you going from here if you don't mind me asking?"
"Well, with Spectre T'Sarius. Apparently she has plans and my position at the Serrice Academy has been replaced. It's where I want to be, anyway. In the field. Tell Jess and Anika they can also contact me if they need. "
"You aren't going to say goodbye to them?"
"If they want. By com. I've got to get underway. I'm slated to go out on the next support shuttle Alexandra Upton is sending. It's just arrived in system and it on its way."
"I'll let her know."
Rea paused. "I'll miss you too, Reine. Take care."
The com link was cut. When Reine came back into the cabin where Jess was working, she was quite for a bit, then she let her and Jocelyne know. "Rea is heading out. To work with Naleena for a while"

Anika stood with her arms folded, looking in profile off to wear Blossom was hitting targets. She hated to say it, but the girl was good.
"All that tennis training is helping." Anika commented as she reached for a larger calibre assault rifle. "Core muscle and balance helps absorb recoil. Coupled with how well developed your back is to serve a fastball I think we can move you up a calibre and see how you handle something with a little more kick..."
Taking the rifle out of Blossom's hands Anika handed her the heavier one that packed more punch. as Anika stowed the other on her back as she stepped in behind Blossom. "I'll be behind you in case you need a support but I'm confident you'll be able to handle this one. Once your prepared for the extra kick that is... Same drill. Single fire five rounds, then when your ready, semi and onto rock and roll. Then the best part... gun maintenance."
Xanadu - in orbit, aboard the Medusa
"Sly little Asari isn't she... Thinking she can just duck out on us? Josie? Reine? Grab your best and rustle up whatever passes for a honour guard we have! I'm going to embarrass the blue out of Rea till she comes out this ship purple!"
Calling into the bridge, Jess had Aelias route her to the cargo bay. "Eya Luv! I heard the cargo doors are jammed... No... No they are jammed... Luv... Listen to my words... They... Are... Jammed... And they'll need twenty minutes say to figure out the problem so I don't care what you have to do... You keep Rea from bailing on us to soon or I swear your shampoo will be swapped with cobalt stain and you'll leave the showers a Smurf... Whats a...? Urrrgh. Just get it done." Jess said irked as she hung up. Springing to her feet she sighed. "Boy doens't know what a Smurf is. What are teaching people in school these days?"

Blossom gave a wry look towards Anika. "Are you saying I'm a natural? Well, I suppose I am. The competitive Upton blood runs in my veins. I've always told mother that she should have me in charge of the company after her, instead of Diana, and even though technically Diana is first in line from the perspective of...a monarch. But Diana is scholarly. I'm the one out here ready to get my hands dirty!" Blossom held the heavier gun, swaying it unsteadily a bit before backing up into Anika and letting it rip. Off balance, Blossom had to be caught by Anika.
"See!"
Xanadu - in orbit, aboard the Medusa
Rea travelled lightly. She always did. She took time for a shower and then got herself neatly dressed in her Commando leathers. As she headed down to the hangar of the Medusa, she typed a quick farewell message to Jess, explaining the situation. Then she waited. Alexandra Upton's shuttle was supposed to make a stop on its way back from the planet side drop.
Time passed, namely the appointed time for the arrival of the shuttle. Rea was waiting in the hangar observation area. Twenty minute past the departure time, Rea asked one of the Loader Lads what the problem was.
"Hangar door is stuck."
"Really? It looks fine. What's the problem?"
"Trust me, it's stuck."
"Hmmmn."

Xanadu - in orbit, aboard the Medusa
"What do you mean it's stuck?" Jess railed at the loader boy who was elbow deep in the airlock pistons that connected the ship's spine to the hanger.
"It just went... It opens a bit then stops. I think I've found the..."
"Out of the way!" Jess snapped as she stepped in and shoved him aside. "Sorry Luv but we're on the clock! Its operation Bluebell! Very hush hush, need to know, super secret thingee that needs this door open!"
The loader boy looked over at the motley assemblage of crewmen she, Jocelyne and Reine had grabbed from literally anywhere. Each had whatever Jess figured could pass as a rifle in the distance, meaning they held an assortment of mops, four foot engineering wrenches and in one case a Christmas tree. Jess had no idea where it had come from, but figured the mystery would solve itself in time as she found the fault and quickly patched it.
"There!" She said as the door opened. "Quick! Every in! Uhhh... Parade formation? Where you stand in a line and... Urgh! Where's Anika when you need her!" Jess gripped as she shoved her crew through the door. "She knows this stuff... Right! Yes! In a line! No wait! Two lines! Like they do on the Extranet!"
As Jess raced to try and arrange her people she noted the clock had ticked past twenty two minutes from when they'd started. "Okay!!! Let's let Rea in and get the PA sounding something classy! Reine? Josie? What's something official sounding we can pipe down here thats in our music banks?"
Xanadu - Planet side
Anika clucked her tongue. "No one is a natural." She said as she caught Blossom and stopped her from falling. "You've got advantages true, but in a real fight its different. Case in point, several years back a cop got into a firefight with a criminal. They had sidearms and discharged them from behind cover. It took the cop twenty-six rounds to tag the bad guy while the bad guy fired thirty-one. In a fight calm goes right out the window. Your hands shake as your adrenalin kicks in. Your ears become a rush of blood as you feel like your outside your body. That's where training hones your autopilot and lets you act despite whatever fear is kicking in your fight or flight response. So if your a natural at training every day then you'll have the advantage over someone that doesn't..."
Anika pushed Blossom up and keeping close to her, adjusted her stance to better brace herself. "But it's to your credit your out here trying this at all. It's a first step to excellence you seem to keep reaching for. Keep it up, find a weapon set that you favour, and above all, keep practicing and one day you might have a shot against some Alliance types who hold gun competitions."

Reine and Jocelyne looked at each other.
"God Save The Queen?" Reine suggested.
"Ugh! From childhood...this is why I curse that you were possessed when you were. You're better off with Careless Whisper."
"What? No! The Roast Beef of England?"
"Stop! Atrocious! I mean...move away from the patriotic songs of our homeland."
"La Madelon?"
Jocelyne winced. "You better pick, Jess. From this list or a better one of your own."

Duellos - Naleena
Ralare escorted Naleena toward the main complex at the base. Her posture while walking was stiff and closed. "You've had quite a 'colorful' life... Spectre," she said. The title spoken with a cold smile. "You belong in the same prison with Foteni, in my opinion."
"I understand how you may feel...."
"You have no clue. Justicars have an Ancient Code that supersedes Galactic Law," Ralare said.
"I worked with Xanthe Remi. Perhaps you know her."
"She left the order because she couldn't handle the discipline required. Still, she was... honorable. She worked with you? How long?" Ralare asked.
"Long enough to know when something was wrong. Long enough to go looking for her. Long enough to make sure she was cared for when we found her," Naleena said and glanced at Ralare.
"I see."
"'I see?' Look, I don't know what your problem is. Yes, I was a hired gun for years. Everyone I killed was bad. They didn't care if innocent people died. You would have killed them, too. Just because the hits were sanctioned by other crime families doesn't matter. They were still bad people. Am I proud of it? No. Then I got out of it and started cleaning up messes for the Council. And then they made me a Spectre. I didn't ask for the job," Naleena said, and she stopped and faced the Justicar with a scowl. "So your code doesn't allow any leeway. It's all black or white from what I understand. I'm surprised you haven't rounded up everyone in the galaxy because most people are gray. I will cooperate insofar as your orders go. You do not have the right to run roughshod over my crew during your evaluations. We are preparing to face greater evils than you can imagine, and I will not allow our mission to be compromised."
With that Naleena turned and headed toward the main complex at a fast clip. Ralare struggled to keep up.
"I am not your enemy, Spectre. I am here to make sure you follow procedures. That is all," Ralare said. They arrived at the exterior elevator. She pressed the call button on the elevator.

The group was escorted through the front doors of the Hospital. They would have time to see the members of Team B walking down the main corridor towards the 'malfunctioning' lifts. Janase saw Commander Ky'jhan look at them and give a tilt of his head, "If you will follow me, we'll take you to our stock rooms."
"For your sake, they had better be top quality..." Janase shot back, figuring it was best to keep up with the aggression and to sell that they were impatient and in a hurry. Ky'jhan nodded, motioning them to join him as he walked down the corridor, the same one keith and the others went down.
"This isn't the first time we've dealt with such potential slaves before. The suns used to operate quite a successful prison station called Purgatory. It was remarkably well run..." The batarian commander said with a small smile on his face.
"It also crashed into a planet, and released its inmates all over the galaxy..." Janase commented, remembering when that story broke and the chaos that followed. Ky'jhan frowned as he kept up his pace.
"It's not our fault that Humanity's Champion decided to destroy it...but I doubt she'll be coming here." He said as he turned a corner down one of the hallways, going the oppostie of Team B as he took them to a more guarded wing.
Team B
Tanith let out a held sigh of relief as he looked between Lauren and Keith, "That was smooth...both of you." He said with a small smile, one he quickly concealed as they headed out and down the hallway. They walked and passed a few suns, who seemed to stop and give a salute to the person behind them. Regardless they seemed to completely ignore the maintenance crew and their bodyguards.
"So far so good..." Tanith muttered to himself as he kept a mental note of the hospital. "Now all we gotta do is wait for the others to get here." He said as they began to approach the lift.
Team C
"You know, its been a while since I had to go in a sewer for a job...I can't say I've missed it much..." Ahnjan commented out loud as he trudged forward. Luckily it seemed the city was not using this part of the sewers too heavily. The equivilent of low tide seemed to be in effect, not that it made the smell any more tolerable. "So far we've come accross 3 markers and we seem to be making good time..." The krogan said as he kept his ultra-violet beam on.
"Now, just have to keep our eyes peeled, and our ears. We wouldn't want a security patrol to find us or..." He stopped as his omnitool began to give out an alert, holding up a hand for the others. "Something just popped up on my low-frequency scans...there's some kind of device transmitting a weak signal...." The krogan looked around, going a bit low and taking a cautious step forward. His head looked forward, then darted up and down.
"Its not far from us, my scans only pick up relatively close and this signal is weak as is...it must be for a pair of devices, no more then a few meters apart..." He raised a foot and then stopped. There was a slightly glowing line above his foot. He brought the ultraviolet light down on it harder, getting his omnitool to focus its beam. The small line beamed brightly, showing up as a neon green within the purpulish blue light.
He switched it to normal lights and the entire thing seemed to vanish completely, the krogan giving a chuckle as he spoke. "Very clever...It's a wire trap. But one rigged to transmit to other devices within here...and with the wire painted vanta black...so dark it absorbs light..." He said at the hair length streak of black in the normal light. He switched back to the ultraviolet as it shinned brightly.
"Its low tech, but highly deadly...no doubt the device is rigged to a transmitted, to signal when its been destroyed..." He raised his foot over and stepped over it cautiously, signaling the others to do the same, "It seems the defenses may still be up and running..."

Boris sat outside in the limo as he flicked through the operator manual. "Nyet! Bosch manual! Would kill them to translate into Russian?" He wondered aloud when his Batarian allowed him to spot several words that he knew so well. "Voice activation? Goooood! Where is voice? Is push to talk maybe?" Boris shifted in his seat as he looked around the driving cabin. "Give Boris Russian design! Big chunky buttons! Never miss a switch when it stares at you even with big chunky armoured finger!" Boris looked over his console and tried to press one of the buttons, but found even his big digits to large to simply press one without putting in the effort to miss the others. "Bah! Smart car indeed!"
Team B
Keith beamed at the praise as his smooth operator persona fell away. "Oh gosh! You really mean that? I was worried I was overselling myself but then I just figured I'd... You know... own it." He nattered as he stepped in front of the lift doors and hit the call button. "Well so far so good. Once we're in we can..." He started when he noticed a Sun walking close by. "... Ahem... Find the problem if it's here... because that's what we do... Find the problem... Like we do, all the time."

Need you to pick something with fan fare and razzmatazz to send Rea off with! Your military! Pluck something from the music bank." Aelias sounded confused. "Capain I'm not really a music person and your music is... there's nothing I'm familiar wi-..." "Gruds sake luv! She'll be here any minute so just find something fast!" At her commboard, Aelias mentally shrugged to herself. It wasn't like she wasn't used to being asked to do something better suited to someone else. Opening up the Medusa's music files she decided against reading through them, and searched for their tags. Fan Fare was one to which she added Killer, thinking of Rea's combat capability. Then she added Military to weed out all the casual stuff. "Okay... Motivational... Ceremonial... Hi octane?" She guessed as she submitted her search results and spinning the screen downwards she stopped on a random track and piped it down to the hanger.

Rea
Rea looked up and around, as the music came in loud and above her, from all around. For a while she looked just stunned, not sure exactly what to make of any of it.
Towards the end of it, she did a little boogie sidestep. It came across as a bit of a Shepard Shuffle, but it was cute in its own way.
When it was done, Rea called up to whomever was listening. "I'll be back to check in. It won't be forever."

As Rea called out, Jess and her entourage burst out from behind a stack of crates having ran the last section. Jess slowed abruptly as she doubled over, hands on her knee's breathing heavily, then rose and looked Rea dead on.
"... Well okay! We'll expect you then!" Before she turned around and called out. "Okay! False alarm! Rea's going to be back so go and practice a proper send off!" The grumbling from the crowd grew as Jess raised her hands. "Hey! Don't lay this on me! Your the ones with brooms... And you? Get that Christmas Tree back to where you found it."
Turning back to Rea, Jess opened her mouth, then snapped it shut and rolled her eyes as she turned back. "Okay fine... We to deep anyway. Let's finish what we started. Form up!"
At that, the grumbling ceased and the crew ran to the shuttle door as they stood either side of it and arranged themselves to form a corridor as they raised their brooms to form an arch as Jess stepped in beside Rea. "Now remember to write, and wash, and if you run into any more prisoners you want shot of custody my doors always open. We'll have your cabin ready as long as no one else is in it... seeing how it's a guest cabin. And if you need anything to keep you occupied for your trip..." Jess brought out a long duffel bag and handed it off to Rea. "Figured you'd be off so we put together some going away things as a thank you for bringing our Reine back..." Jess paused as the corner of her mouth twitched. "... Eventually."

Rea looked into the bag and saw a large number of items of nostalgia from her time aboard the Medusa and Pegasus. One seemed to be a framed picture and among the items were some CDs. "These are rather old school and wonderful," Rea admired. One had some music on it, a human band called AC/DC. Another was a film, "Rocky IV," no I-III though. Rea assumed that IV was the one that meant the most to Jess.
There were some final words, and well wishes exchanged. Rea asked for an invite to the wedding if it ever was going to happen. Then she boarded.
Two women were aboard Alexandra Upton's medical shuttle. It was jump capable and had already delivered its 2 doctor passengers and medical supplies. The two women were pilots and employees.
Rea looked back at the shuttle door before it closed.

Dallas made what would seem to be a casual call to Boris. "Look, we said keep the car running, but these guys look like they might actually have stock the owners want to purchase. Lock up the limo and get yourself in here with us. Your opinion might be needed."
Dallas knew that Boris had been keeping the car running, but she felt if there was going to be trouble, they'd need all the firepower they could get with them and so wanted Boris at their side. Dallas gave a nod to Janase and Ereba as if they were in charge.

"I actually feel better that you found something," Draco said to Ahnjan, and he made sure both Darya and Kamau stepped over the trip wire safely. "I've come to believe the most valuable place are always guarded when there are preparations to be made. Lower tech makes more sense in the sewer as well, I think."
Kamau stepped over safely and watched their backs. "If we must flee this way, it may be a concern."
"Agreed, but disarming it is a risk," Draco replied. "Ahnjan, lead on. I believe there may be more to this place than we expected."

Aboard the Majestic
Tarball's carrier, once designed for an unknown project, had been taken from the Kings and Queens base, set into space as it had been seized by Amaya and the woman who she served, Iyana. Iyana the second if clarification needed, she didn't seem to mind the title.
This second Iyana had not said much since the ship had passed through its first Relay since they boarded, destination uncertain. Anyone could see the two Iyana's were very different in certain aspects. Both were pale, but the first had been full of poise, a cold beauty and a haughtiness. This one would bend over, brood and swing unpredictably in her moods. It was hard to judge, and Amaya found her to be much more dangerous to be around. Both forms of Iyana would thrive on the fears of those around them, but this one was less lusting in that fear, and more subject to uncontrollable episodes where she would simply cross the line and administer punishment without any attempt to absolve oneself. Not even in performing duties to the letter. And then there were times she would just not seem to care whatsoever if tasks were accomplished around her.
Amaya wondered for a while about this Iyana's stability. Easily, she simply wasn't stable at all. But there was nevertheless an unerring drive about her. Perhaps something hadn't gone correctly in the transfer, or perhaps the absence of a Tysis to pilot her, so to speak, led to what she'd become. But Amaya was wise enough also to believe something else had certainly made the transfer, a core personality, something that in fact was completely stable, in that she had a mission.
For now, Iyana II slumped, head down, in the command chair aboard the Majestic. She'd asked for a report on the capacities of the carrier, and to be shown about the vessel. And then Iyana II had not pursued either request, focusing her attention inward. But Amaya saw the pale eyes of this Iyana open, staring downward, and like with her predecessor, Amaya knew her mind was working at a rapid rate.

Ereba got on her com. "Boris, what the fuck are you doing? I told you to park the car and get your ass up here. Don't make me come down there and beat you with your spine," she said and shook her head. "Goddess, it's hard to get good help these days."

"And... we left Lauren with other group...," Darya said. "Or was that Ereba who is demolitions expert? Whatever, whoever it is, they're not with us."
She stepped over it... carefully. "Whoops!" she pretended to lose her balance. "Don't worry. Just focking with you."

Duellos - Naleena
The Administrative Wing was big. They handled the transfers of the armor for the entire Asari Navy and allied forces. They handled all sorts of other things, too. There was a restricted area that was even more restricted than the base itself. Naleena had to take a number and wait. She sat in a chair and slouched. Ralare sat next to her in a proper posture with her legs crossed at the knee. The chairs in the waiting area was another place were the military skimped. They were steel and styled in that resembling that of the Krogan Rebellions. In other words uncomfortable. Naleena drew a cigarette only to be reminded that this was a non-smoking office. If she wanted to smoke, she'd have to go outside and lose her place in line even though she was the only one there... there were people in line online.
So she put her cigarette away and waited, keeping her curse to herself lest it violate one of Ralare's mysterious codes.
Finally after an hour she was called. "Number 42." crackled over the loudspeaker.
A chubby asari administrative assistant wearing a bold patterned low cut puce, bright blue, and chartreuse dress - the blue matched her eyes - that made her look even more chubby motioned for Naleena to sit. "So you're a Spectre. You have a very unusual request: a research lab size pilot plant to make sealant for Silaris Armor. And I see you have the necessary signatures. The total comes to 550 million credits plus installation costs of 10 million credits. Do you have that kind of money?"
"Yes, do you have a secure line?" Naleena asked, "QEC preferred."
The AA smiled. "All our lines are secure, Spectre. I'll connect you."
"I need it to be private and unmonitored," Naleena said.
"Understood, use line six."
Naleena entered her the number of her financial institution and gave instructions to initiate the transfer of the funds.
Kassa Fabrications stock went down 10% after a large block was sold triggering a sell off.
Naleena's omni-tool flashed up the code that the funds would settle in three days. "Here's the information from my investment firm. They just need the information of where the funds need to go, Miss..."
"Tolveni. My name is Tolveni."
"Of course, Miss Tol"
"No, that's my first name," Tolveni blushed with a twinkle in her eye.
Naleena shifted in her chair. "Of course... Tolveni. Now I have to get going. The Justicar seated over there (points) is waiting for me," she said and turned around. "We have to get going, don't we Ralare?"
Ralare yawned. "Take your time, Naleena. I'm in no hurry."
"But I do have to check on my crew. Is there anything I need to sign before I go?"
Tolveni slumped her shoulders. "No, we're done here."
Naleena stood and left the office with Ralare. Silence in the elevator going down. The door opened and they exited.
"And you thought Justicars didn't have a sense of humor, Spectre."

Boris listened, confused at first, then grumbled. "Park Car Boris. Wait Boris. Don't wait Boris. No tank Boris. And just when Boris was comfortable..." He bemoaned as he reached for his Gatling that he'd leaned up in the passenger seat. Pulling at the strap, he angled it as he reached for the door and as he did, his Gatline shifted to the side and struck a button on the dashboard. As Boris grabbed his gun and slung the operator end on his knee's he paused to see what had just happened as the screen showed a loading bar as a chord was struck on the cars speakers before a voice asked.
'Hello / Welcome. Your user settings have been queried and initial setup has been completed. For the best experience with your Nocturne League Advanced VI we recommend you complete the full setup at a later time. Do you wish to complete setup now?'
Boris blinked inside his helmet and objected. "Now? Nyet! Boris must go now!"
'You have selected... No. Please note this may affect your enjoyment of our product, as it's capability will not be tuned to your needs. To complete basic setup, please link a device of your choice to enable remote operation.'
Boris's eye's lit up. "Remote? Oooooooo! Boris like sound of remote! How do we do the linking?"
'You have accepted remote link and operation using the active device we have identified as... Boris_Sound_Box_Heavy_Armour. If this is not correct, say so now.'
"Boris armour called Sound Box?" Boris asked with confusion as his helmet hud showed a timer that counted down before a new display of the limo appeared on his helmet.
'You are now ready to enjoy your new Nocturne League Advanced AI vehicle interface. Thank you for choosing our product.'
Boris waited, but nothing else was said as the screen went blank and Boris scoffed. "Bah, must be broken. Oh well..." Boris exclaimed as he popped open the door and got out, dragging his Gatling out before throwing it on and concealing it under his cloak. "Off to be hero! Or something else! More fun than Wannabe Tank!"
As Boris slammed the door and headed to where the others were waiting, the screen lit up again as a few words appeared onscreen.

Aboard the Pegasus
First Mate Radelle Rychtar had called a meeting, one of the few she seldom could find time for. Included were Tex, Chief Pilot Sascha, Chief of Security Pepper, 'Babe One', who'd been appointed momentarily as de-facto representative of the clones, Miss Priss who was 'Chief of Social Services', and any other head officer positions deemed critical, which meant the orange-haired, rogue marine nurse and other marines who had gone AOL that now led appointed positions of importance. The only people missing were from engineering, the 'Chiefs' Nell and Nyrin being occupied currently with the visit from Koran and Sally. They were welcomed but Radelle was less concerned over their absence as they were up to date on events for the most part and would be updated anyway.
Included with no position was Karma. Radelle just found Karma to be too criticalto leave out, and frankly, it was a good idea to include anyone able to eat other people when too tempted. Because of their roles, Amy Babylon and Regina Upton were also there.
Some normal items of importance were discussed in what was called 'the board room', because it was such, ostentatiously so. The luxury liner had an oval shaped meeting room for business executive meetings conducted when it was a specialty liner. After the maintenance topics were briefly gone over due to Radelle needing to save time and avoid descending into the often chaotic conversations that would tangent from topics, Radelle brought something up.
"As members of the Kings and Queens, which like it or not you all are now, and which means some of you have criminal records over it, there is an important matter which needs attention. I have it on good word from contacts at a hidden shipyard of our Company that one of our ships has gone missing. Without contest, apparently."
Pepper, who like Sascha, had worked under Radelle when they'd been crewmembers of the Vitriol prior to their service with Anika, asked, "How can that be? And what kind of vessel? Have the Captains been informed?"
"What is the concern for us?" Sascha added.
"The kind of vessel is a large one. From what I've heard, a carrier that Tarballs once had plan for. It concerns us because this is the largest known Kings and Queens warship, perhaps second to this carrier that has gone absent, and likely was designed for whatever other threats Tarballs, in his tyranny, perceived. It could be a threat we face in the future. The Captains, namely the kings and queens themselves, particularly Lady Jessica will be updated immediately after this meeting but as this ship's crew, if the threat is closer, we all here need to know about it."
Radelle then sighed. "How something like this could happen is still in the dark, but it may have something to do with the contest of leadership for the Company. Who would be motivated to do such a thing eludes me, but they would have to have access to these secrets, of which I was not even aware, and authority. For now, I want this information to remain only with those here in this meeting, as the leadership of this vessel. And I want you all to be very clear: Our loyalties are with the Company leadership as we all know it to be. Anika Lunacrest is our Captain, and Jessica Babylon is our Lady of the Company."
Shortly after the meeting, Radelle put the call into Anika who was planetside, and Jess who was aboard the Medusa.

Team B
And then it happened. As they were heading down the corridor toward their goal, a batarian kid ran down the hall and shouted at them. He couldn't have been more than twelve.
"Hey, human! Elevator number two is stuck on the fifth floor. There's people inside. Fix it," the kid said. "I'm supposed to go with you and make sure it gets done."

Xanadu
Anika called for a timeout as Blossom finished shooting up another target. After several calibers of rifle and personnal firearms Anika judged that Blossom had the strength to handle a standard military grade rifle. Her inexperience with kickback and tendency to blowout her heatsink meant her control of the weapon needed work along with her aim, but she hitting more targets now than she was when they started which made Anika happy that she'd at least be good in a firing line if the Oilies came for the base again. Not that they would her tech marines assured her, but Anika wasn't about to let training every able body slide when the worst case scenario was still an ever present threat.
The mobile comm station they'd brought to the firing range was calling her and Anika tapped in and found herself waiting for another caller to join them.
Medusa
"I'll take it in my quarters." Jess groaned as she rode the lift up to her dwelling above the bridge. She'd been on the go for so long that she'd forgotten the last time she'd slept and had figured at least a few hours napping would do her good when Aelias had called her. "Pegasus wants Anika and I eh? Sounds like bad news... or good news... Radelle's not the good news type though... Unless it's really good..." Jess muttered to herself as she stretched as the doors opened and kicked off her boots as she moved to her couch and hit a comm terminal on the table. "Okay I'm here! Just tell me before we start? Is this a good news Rum call? Or a bad news strong coffee call?"

On Xanadu, Blossom bragged, "I'm pretty good at what I do, right?!" Then she looked down at her glove and groused, "I think I broke a nail out of this. I'm going to have to look at this when we get back to base first thing and use my manicure fabricator on it, it better fix or I'll call the president of L'Oréal's platinum line myself!"
When Radelle's image came up, Jess and Anika knew it wasn't likely good news. Radelle wore her leathers in Pegasus white now, and still had her stern officer's cap, although her signature red lipsticked lips stood out. As always, she was professional in her address:
"Lady Jessica, Captain Anika, I've received news from the Kings and Queens. Asteroid base. It seems a carrier has gone missing."
